Board games
Bib Sophia has a large collection of board games. We have chosen well-known and lesser-known games to put together a challenging offer. There is something for very young people, as well as for adults, with a choice between games you can play alone or with your whole friend group.
The board games are divided into six categories:
- Math: Educational games about math
- Language: Educational games on language
- Thinking: Quiz games, creative games
- Puzzling: Puzzles, smartgames
- Collaborate: Games where you work together, instead of playing against each other
- Round game: All other types of games
Tip: All our games are checked for completeness before they return to the rack. If you want to make sure that you have all the parts with you when you take it home, please double-check for completeness before you borrow the game.
Video games
Nowadays, video games have become an essential part of many people's leisure activities.
We launched a collection of video games for Nintendo Switch at the library with a focus on games that are child-friendly. As with all other materials, these conditions apply:
- free of charge
- loanable for 3 weeks
- the due date can be extended twice (unless reserved)
- a maximum of 15 materials on your card
There are also Nintendo Switch Lite game consoles that can be borrowed. This will allow everyone to make use of the video games collection, even those who do not have a Nintendo Switch at home.
Important to know:
- You can't use a game console without games. If you borrow a console, check out the games as well.
- These devices are expensive, so be very careful when borrowing one.
- The console runs on a battery, so you get a charging cable when you borrow one. Of course, we want that cable back.
- We reset every returned game console. Anything that was stored on it will be erased.
- The games and/or game console are ALWAYS dropped off at the front desk. Do not put them on the selfscan shelves, nor in the green collection box outside.
